Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Mahinda Siriwardana, along with Deputy Director (Finance branch) W.A.H. Fernando at the Department of State Accounts and Additional Director General (CUD) P.M.K. Hettiarachchi at the Department of Development Finance, both from the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilisation & National Policies, have provided information the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) regarding the importation of Human Immunoglobulin.

The inquiry centers around the importation process of Human Immunoglobulin, a critical medical component. The CID is scrutinizing the circumstances and protocols surrounding the importation, aiming to ascertain any irregularities or potential violations of regulations.

Senior officials, including the Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, the Chairman of the State Pharmaceutical Corporation, and the Director General of Health, have also been approached regarding the importation of Human Immunoglobulin.
