Education Minister Susil Premajayantha issued a special statement regarding the schedule for the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (O/L) and Advanced Level (A/L) examinations.
The Minister confirmed that the 2023 GCE Advanced Level Examination is scheduled for January 2024 as planned. Additionally, O/L 2024 is intended to be held in mid-May next year.
Emphasizing the need for a three-month gap between each examination for proper question paper marking, Minister Premajayantha expressed optimism that by 2025, the conduct of exams could be normalized within the prescribed year.
