An accident occurred today (05) around 2:30 pm in the Ambalantota Mamadala, Hadavinna area, where a bus overturned into the Mamadala canal. The incident involved a private bus returning from a picnic, owned by a resident of Ambalantota Mamadala area.
Reports indicate that six people, including the bus driver, sustained injuries and were admitted to Ambalantota hospital. The driver reportedly lost control due to bad weather conditions, with slippery roads compounded by worn-out bus wheels.
