In a heart-wrenching incident this morning, a 33-year-old employee of Kadugannawa Hospital lost his life when a wall collapsed while he was involved in mound-cutting activities. The victim, a resident of Alpitikanda in the Manichchawa-Paranapattu area of Kandy, was tragically struck by the collapsing wall.
The accident occurred as the employee was engaged in routine activities at the hospital premises. Despite immediate efforts to provide medical assistance, the severity of the incident resulted in the untimely death of the 33-year-old.
