Earthquake of 4.7 magnitude hits northern Pakistan

An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 on the Richter Scale hit Pakistan near Islamabad on Saturday early morning, the National Centre for Seismology said.

The seismic activity was reported at around 12:57 am at a depth of 190 kilometres.

No casualties have been reported as of yet. Further details are awaited.
