Doctors to Strike Tomorrow: GMOA Explains the Process

Government Medical Officers have decided to launch an Island-wide strike tomorrow from 8 am to 12 noon to exhibit their disapproval regarding changes of post-internship appointment lists, said Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA).

The strike will also be carried out in extreme weather affected Colombo, Gampaha and Kegalle districts as well.

However, government doctors will attend the emergencies and relief missions during the strike while functions at maternity, children’s and cancer hospitals as well as liver treatment center will be carried out without pause.
