Veteran Chef Shantha Mayadunne and her daughter have died in the explosion at the Shangri-La.

It has been revealed that she and her family members had been at the hotel at the time of the explosion.

Meanwhile, in the explosions that took place at three leading hotels in Colombo, 9 foreigners are said to have lost their lives.

The number of foreigners injured in the explosions in 13.

45 persons have been reported so far to have lost their lives in the explosions that took place at three Colombo hotels and churches.

In an explosion at a church in Batticaloa more than 300 have been injured and 27 have died.

The injured are being treated at the Batticaloa hospital.

The most number of deaths have been reported from the explosion at the church at Katuwapitiya, Katana. 32 have died and 106 have been hospitalized with injuries here.
