Locals in Puttalam district complaint that coastal erosion in Thalwila, Thoduwawa, Oruwelpola and Marawila has rapidly escalated causing threats to their dwelling.
They further whine that Coastal Conservation Department’s current initiatives are not adequate reduce the massive erosion.
