Chairman of the National Council on Road Safety Sisira Kodagoda said that a gazette will be issued in future to restrict the speed limit of three wheelers to 40 Kilometres per hour.
He also stated that licences for three wheelers will be issued only after participating in a one day workshop.
Meanwhile, 3 people were killed in the Hungama area in Hambantota as a Tipper lorry collided with a three wheeler this dawn.
In a separate incident, 2 persons were injured as 3 Three wheelers were involved in an accident in the Kuil-watte area along the Hatton – Colombo main road.
