Although Expropriation Act has been proposed to be repealed through 2018 Budget, Minister Vijith Wijayamuni Zoysa says that the government has not taken any decision to privatize Sevanagala Sugar Factory.
The Minister gave this answer in response to a query raised by JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Parliament today (15).
The factory, which was coming under the Daya Group of Minister Daya Gamage was taken over by the state in 2011.
