An unidentified group has opened fire at a businessman who was travelling in a luxury jeep in Seeduwa, on the Colombo-Negombo main road.
It was reported that the businessman was unharmed.
Gunshots had hit the vehicle's body and rear wheels.
The shooting took place last night and police said that the businessman was a resident of Dambadure, Seeduwa.
The assailants have arrived in a car.
