The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) states that there is an increase in the number of atmospheric dust particles in the Colombo city today.
Senior scientist Sarath Premasiri stated that according to the air quality index meter of the US Embassy in Colombo, the air quality index has now risen to 130.
A spokesperson from the Central Environmental Authority stated that the dust particles in the atmosphere increased on the 5th of November as a result of the changes in the air flow of the northern atmospheric winds to the island .
