Renovations in the historic Mihintale sacred area began yesterday (24) under the auspices of president Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Renovating the Mihindu Maha Stupa, Mihindu Len Senasuna and the relics room and the construction of a flight of stairs will take place
under the guidance Mahamevna Asapuwa led by Ven. Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thera.
After paying homage at the sacred site, president Rajapaksa unveiled a statue of Arahat Mahinda in the precincts of Sela Stupa.
