General Secretary of the Sinhale Api National Organization Ven. Jamburewela Chandraratana Thera lodged a complaint with the National Police Commission regarding the OIC of the Colombo Fort Police Station and another group of people.
The complaint was lodged alleging that he and another were arrested on the false charges of assaulting a police jeep and causing damage during a protest which was held yesterday (08).
Ven. Chandraratana Thera and another person were arrested yesterday while protesting with a War Heros' Widows in front of the Fort Railway Station.
He and another were arrested on several charges including damaging the glass of a police jeep during the protest and being a member of unlawful assembly and were later released on police bail.
