Police have drawn attention to a fact recorded in a book in the house in the Galgamuwa area where three dead bodies were found.

Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana stated that they are investigating whether the 28-year-old man who died in the house had written it down.

The deceased person's mobile phone was also found near the book.

A 28-year-old woman, her 10-year-old son, and another 28-year-old man were found dead during a search of a house on information received by the Galgamuwa Police.

Preliminary investigations by the police have revealed that the 28-year-old man had killed the woman and her son following a dispute last night.

A 5-year-old child who was present at the time of the dispute has fled to the neighbouring house and survived.

"The little one came and said that the mother was not there. Then I took the child. Then I called the little ones' mother. She did not answer the phone. They went to the house and found out that she has been murdered. I did not go to the house.

Police suspect that there has been an illicit affair between the murdered woman and the young man who committed suicide in the house.

Hiru Correspondent stated that the husband of the deceased woman was a naval officer and was not at home at the time of the incident.

The youth who committed suicide after the murder was also a resident of the Galgamuwa Mahananneriya area.

Following the magisterial inquiry, the bodies were taken to the Kurunegala Hospital for a postmortem.

The postmortem will be conducted by the Specialist Judicial Medical Officer of the Kurunegala Hospital.
