The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has paid Rs. 2.5 million to the wife and children of Priyantha Kumara Diyawadana, who was brutally murdered while working as a garment factory manager in Sialkot, Pakistan.

The relevant check was handed over by Minister of Labor Nimal Siripala de Silva and State Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Market Diversification Piyankara Jayaratne at the Head Office today (03).

Earlier, Pakistani media reported that the Rajco Garment Factory Group in Pakistan where Priyantha Kumara Diyawadana worked had agreed to pay for his children's education.

Meanwhile, Hiru News Special Correspondent stated that 85 suspects arrested in connection with the murder of Priyantha Kumara Diyawadana have been remanded again for another 14 days by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Court today.
