10 fishing boats docked on the coast of Nagar Kovil area in Point Pedro were set on fire and destroyed.
The boats were set on fire during the wee hours of yesterday and the fire was doused by the police and residents.
No casualties were reported.
The damage to the fishing boats has not yet been assessed and investigations are underway to find the culprits.
