A mother has abandoned her 6-month-old baby and a 6-year-old child in Ambalangoda.
The police stated that a three-wheeler driver handed over these children to the police station while they were staying in Ambalangoda town.
The 6-month-old infant has been admitted to Balapitiya Hospital.
His elder brother is still in Ambalangoda police custody and it is reported that the police have identified the mother.
