President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who departed for an official visit to the Maldives, has returned to the island this morning (18). According to reports, the President arrived at Katunayake Airport on Etihad Airlines flight E.Y. 278 at 9:37 AM.
The President's visit to the Maldives was for the swearing-in ceremony of the new Maldivian President, Dr. Mohamed Muisi, which took place on the 16th. President Wickremesinghe left for the Maldives to attend this significant event.
