Colombo, November 23, 2023: The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a temporary suspension of water supply to areas in Colombo 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. The interruption is scheduled to last for 16 hours, commencing from 5:00 pm on November 24, 2023, and concluding at 9:00 am on the following day, November 25, 2023.

The water cut is attributed to essential maintenance work being carried out as part of the ongoing water supply improvement project in Ambatala. The NWSDB has advised residents and businesses in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements to manage their water needs during this temporary suspension.

This scheduled maintenance is a measure to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the water supply infrastructure in the region. 

Residents and businesses in the affected zones are encouraged to store sufficient water for their usage during the specified period.

Additionally, the NWSDB assures that efforts will be made to expedite the maintenance process to ensure a swift restoration of normal water supply following the completion of the scheduled work.
