In a significant cultural repatriation, Sri Lanka received six artifacts, notably the Lewke cannon, from the Netherlands after over 200 years.
The artifacts were officially accepted by Minister Vidura Wickremanayake at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) this morning.
The items will be showcased to the public at the Colombo National Museum, starting from December 5th. The repatriation marks a milestone in preserving Sri Lanka's rich historical heritage.
