Women's cricket T20I: Italy beats Austria

The Italian women's cricket team has won the first T20 international.

The Italian squad includes 11 Sri Lankan women living in Italy and the team is led by Kumudu Neranjala Peddrick.

They beat the Austrian women's cricket team by 8 wickets in the first T20 match played today at the Roma Sports Club Stadium.

Austria scored 107 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs, while Dishani Samarawickrema took one wicket for 14 runs.

The Italian women's cricket team won the match by 108 runs in 16 overs with 2 wickets in hand.

Skipper Kumudu Niranjala was unbeaten on 47 runs.
