Lottery sellers and agents have called off their strike following discussions with President Maithripala Sirisena.
The strike launched against the Government's decision to increase ticket prices and not the commissions. It continued for five days.
Government took a decision to increase the price of a lottery to Rs. 30.
All Island Lottery Dealers Society Chairperson Krishantha Marambage said the discussion with the President was held at the Presidential residence this afternoon.
After the President agreed to give a favourable solution to their issue the strike was discontinued.
