Individual killed by a wild elephant in Uva Kuda Oya

An individual has died after being attacked by a wild elephant in Thelulla – Uva Kuda Oya – Wellawaya.

Police stated that the deceased is a 54 year old father of three who was a resident of the same area.

The victim has gone into the woods near his residence last evening and villagers have searched for him as he had not returned until this morning.
