The first ever day-night test to be played in England will be played between the host team and West Indies today.

The pink ball game will be played at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

England should come into the game high on confidence, having just defeated South Africa 3-1.

However, the last test series between England and the West Indies which was played in 2015 (April/May) ended in one all.

Mark Stoneman, the Surrey opener, will make his debut as England's search for a long-term opening partner for Alastair Cook continues.

The return of fast bowler Kemar Roach could give West Indies an edge with the ball.

However, West Indies last won a Test in England in 2000, when they beat the hosts by an innings at Edgbaston in Birmingham, the venue for the historic day-night test.
