Sagala Ratnayake has been sworn in as the Minister of Law and Order while D.M. Swaminathan was sworn in as Minister of Prison Reforms in addition to their existing ministerial portfolios.
The Ministers took oath before President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat a short while ago, sources stated.
These portfolios were vacated when Tilak Marapana resigned as Minister of Law and Order and Prison Reforms on Monday (09).
Mr.Sagala Ratnayake is the current Southern Development Minister and Swaminathan serves as the Minister of Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs.
