Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa says that he condemns the statement co-cabinet spokesman Minister Rajitha Senaratne had made saying that the former Defence Secretary had connections with the Aava gang operating in Jaffna.
The former Defence Secretary said so speaking to media in Colombo yesterday.
At the media briefing on cabinet decisions Minister Rajitha Senaratne charged that the AAVA gang had been created by the former Defence Secretary.
Meanwhile Northern Provincial Councilor M. K. Sivajilingam expressing his views saying that Minister Rajitha Senaratne was trying to direct the blame regarding the AAVA gang on another party.
