The 3rd edition of the International symbol of excellence of Sri Lankan cinema, the ‘Hiru Golden Film Awards 2018’, which rewrote the film award history in Sri Lanka, will be held today at the Sugathadasa Indoor stadium.
‘HIRU Golden film awards’, is the only such award ceremony held in Sri Lanka which is graced by Bollywood stars.
Hiru Golden Film Awards Ceremony, which made a revolutionary change in Sri Lankan cinema, is a concept envisioned by the Chairman of Asia Broadcasting Corporation Mr. Rayynor Silva which came to life in 2014.
Its second edition was held at the Lotus Theatre, Colombo in 2016.
Bollywood superstars Saif Ali Khan, Sonaxi Sinha ,Siddharth Malhotra, Juhi Chawla, Govinda, Shilpa Shettiy and Zareen Khan are expected to grace HIRU Golden film awards 2018.
At the same time, the popular and veteran performing artists engaged in rehearsals at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo to colour this golden cinema ceremony.
Artistes Hemal Ranasinghe, Shalani Tharaka, Bandu Samarasinghe, Veteran dancer Dr Channa Wijewardana and Veteran actor Ravindra Randeniya also expressed their views in this manner.
