Railway Trade Unions have decided to launch a two-day strike from midnight on 9 April based on several salary problems.
The Secretary of the Railway Engine Drivers’ Union Indika Dodangoda told the Hiru News Division that the President, Prime Minister, Transport Minister and Finance Minister have been informed about the strike.
According to him, Station Masters, Engine Drivers, Guards, Controllers and Railway Supervisors are due to join this strike.
