The Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sri Lanka Police recently at the Police Head Quarters in order to facilitate information sharing and cooperation on investigations and prosecutions of money laundering, terrorist financing and other related offences.
Damayanthi Fernando, Director General of IRCSL and Inspector General of Police, Priyantha Weerasooriya signed the MOU on behalf of the respective institutions in the presence of Dr. Ajith De Mel, Chairman of IRCSL, Rajan Nirubasingham, Director, Legal and Enforcement of IRCSL, Thushari Wijegunawardana, Assistant Director, AML/CFT unit of IRCSL and other senior officers of the Sri Lanka Police.
