Sachin, Buwaneka win Australian Junior International

Unseeded Sachin Dias and Buwaneka Goonathileka won the under-19 doubles event at the 2013 Australian Junior International Badminton Tournament in Ballarat.

The Sri Lankan pair powered their way to the men’s doubles final after defeating Australia’s Daniel Guda and Toby Wong in straight sets in their semi-final match yesterday.

Players from Mexico, Indonesia, Philippines, New Zealand, Nauru and Australia also competed in the event held at the Ken Kay Badminton Stadium.
