Writ petition against illegal constructions in Muthurajawela wetland

The Center for Environmental Justice has filed a writ petition in the Court of Appeal seeking an injunction restraining illegal construction, landfilling and dumping of garbage in the Muthurajawela wetland zone.

Our court correspondent stated that the Central Environmental Authority, the Minister of Environment, the Minister of Wildlife and several other parties have been named as respondents in the petition.
