The low-level atmospheric disturbance to the south of Sri Lanka can be intensified into a low-pressure area during the next 24 hours.
Showers or thundershowers with wind speeds of (40-50) kmph gusting up to 60 kmph can be expected in these sea areas
The fishing and naval communities engaged in fishing activities in the deep sea areas off Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota are advised not to venture above-mentioned sea areas.
Those who are out at sea over these regions are advised to return to coasts or move safer areas.
