A suspicious luxury jeep belonging to a kapuwa of a well-known temple in Galthenna, Kandy, was seized today (04) by the Teldeniya Divisional Criminal Investigation Unit.
Police said the vehicle was found with its battery disconnected and set up in a way that prevented it from being started when officers arrived. The raid was conducted under the directives of Teldeniya Divisional Senior Superintendent of Police Roshan Amarasinghe.
Following a long-term investigation, it was revealed that the jeep had been registered using forged documents, leading to its seizure.
