Two killed in separate attacks in Tangalle and Galle

Tangalle police state that a 35-year-old resident of Mahagoda died after being admitted to the Tangalle hospital with serious injuries following a club attack in the Mahagoda area of the Tangalle police division last night (28).

Investigations conducted so far reveal that the attack occurred due to an argument between the deceased and one of his brothers escalating.

The 28-year-old suspect is arrested, and Tangalle police conduct further investigations.

Meanwhile, a person who sustained injuries due to an attack with a sharp weapon during a clash between two groups in the Galwala area of the Galle police division last night was admitted to the Galle hospital.

Galle police state that he died after being hospitalised.

The deceased is a 24-year-old resident of Galle.

Investigations conducted so far reveal that this murder occurred due to a dispute between two groups over an old enmity escalating, and two other persons injured in the clash were admitted to the Galle hospital.

Two suspects aged 19 and 29 residing in the Walawwatta area who were involved in the incident are arrested, and Galle police conduct further investigations.
