Update: Oil leakage at Orugodawatta restored

A leak in the pipeline carrying oil from the Colombo Port to Kolonnawa Oil storage has been repaired by now.

Police Media Spokesperson’s Office stated that the oil pipe ruptured near the Kaali Kovila in Kambikotuwa, in Orugodawatta this morning.

Chairman of Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal Roshan Gunawardana stated that prompt action was taken to restore oil supply via the pipeline.

A leak is reported in the pipeline carrying oil from the Colombo Port to Kolonnawa Oil storage.
