All divisional secretaries who complete 5 years transferred

President Maithripala Sirisena said that all line ministries should work together in implementing the national development program.

President Sirisena was speaking at a ministry secretaries meeting held at the Presidential Secretariat today.

Expressing his views about the transfer of Divisional Secretaries, the president said that no Divisional Secretary should be positioned at one service centre for a long time.

It was revealed later that all divisional secretaries who have completed a 5 year service in one place would be transferred within next month.

Meanwhile, Singaporean Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan who is on an official visit met President Maithripala Sirisena.

Dr. Balakrishnan has praised Sri Lanka for its efforts in strengthening national harmony.
