TUSKER INDIRA RAJA'S OF THE SRI DALADA MALIGAWA HAS FALLEN SICK

The Tusker of the Sri Dalada Maligawa ‘Indiraja’ who was supposed to take the casket for the first Kumbal Perahera of the Kandy Esala Perahera has fallen ill.

Pradeep Miyanapalawa the guardian of the Elephants in the Maliagawa said that as a result, Tusker ‘Vasana’ carried the casket yesterday. He further stated that the Sri Dalada Maligawa Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela will decide whether to use Tusker ‘ Vasana ‘  or Tusker ‘Sinharaja’ to take the casket after observing the health condition of Tusker ‘Indiraja’ today. The second Kumbal Perahera of the Esala Perahera will parade the streets today.
