Due to the Kotahena Armour Barber junction getting completely flooded, Police Media Spokesman, Superintendent of Police Ruwan Gunasekera said that severe traffic congestion has occurred.
As a result the Police Media Spokesman advised motorists to use alternative roads.
Meanwhile, due to landslide and a tree falling on the main road from Norton Bridge to Diyagala movement of traffic has been obstructed from Atlis area.
The Norton Bridge Police said that the police together with the Road Development Authority officers are in the process of cutting and removing the fallen tree that fell on to the road as well as the mound of soil.
