It has been reported that a 16-month-old baby girl was brutally murdered inside a toilet in a hotel.
It is reported that the murder had taken place at a hotel in the Periyamulla area in Negombo.
According to the reports the little girl was raped, and brutally sexually abused and beaten to death.
Police say that a 22 year old youth has been arrested on suspicion in connection with the incident.
