With a total of 517 new cases reported yesterday (04), the Covid-19 caseload in Sri Lanka increased to 26,559.
The clusters from the Brandix factory at Minuwangoda and the fish market at Peliyagoda account for 23,005 of them, says the Government Information Department.
A total of 406 recovered to take the number of recoveries so far to 19,438.
Furthermore, 6,991 remain in hospital.
In the meantime, the death toll rose to 130 after a 72-year-old man from Piliyandala died yesterday due to pneumonia complications after contracting the virus.
