Police investigate reagrding Urujuwa's death while in police custody (video)

Mambulage Dinithi Melan Mambula alias Urujuwa, who directed the underworld activities after the death of 'Samayang', was shot dead by police in the Wandurammulla area in Kaduwela.

He was arrested by the Navagamuwa Police in connection with a number of crimes committed in the Navagamuwa and Hanwella police areas.

The shooting had taken place when the suspect was taken away for further investigation.

This was after recording a statement according to the police.

However, Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the Western Province Southern Crimes Division is conducting an investigation into the incident.
