The Petroleum Trade Unions stated that the operations of the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery will be suspended from tomorrow (15).
They pointed out that this is due to the depletion of crude oil stored at the refinery.
Convener of the Petroleum Trade Union Confederation Ananda Palitha further stated this at a media briefing held in Colombo today (14).
Hiru News inquired about this from the Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal, Mohamed Uwais. He stated that there were sufficient fuel reserves for another 15 days.
