Srimali Samarakoon wins first Commonwealth Weightlifting gold medal

Sri Lankan athlete Srimali Samarakoon has won the first gold medal at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, which is being held alongside the World Championships under the Senior Body weight category of 45 Kg. weight class

She lifted a total of 136kg, including 58kg in the snatch and 78kg in the clean and jerky.
