A fatal accident occurred in the Thorayaya area of Kurunegala this morning (10) when two passenger buses collided.
Police reported that four people, including a woman, lost their lives in the accident, while 28 others were admitted to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital with injuries.
The incident took place when a private bus traveling from Kaduruwela to Kurunegala collided with a stationary bus traveling from Maduru Oya to Colombo.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed, according to police.
