Strong winds, with speeds of about 50 to 60 kilometres per hour (kmph), are expected at times over the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, North-western, and North-central provinces.
This is due to the active south-west monsoonal conditions currently affecting the island.
Additionally, fairly strong winds, around 30 to 40 kmph, can be expected at times elsewhere across the island.
