The Welikada Police Station has reported that an official police bus travel permit book has gone missing.
The book, which contained pages numbered from 2006001 to 2006100, was in use and was found to be missing during an inspection conducted on 31 August.
An investigation has been launched into the incident under the instructions of the Officer-in-Charge of the Welikada Police Station, Chief Inspector Saman Jayasinghe.
All other police stations have also been notified of the disappearance via phone messages.
