Sri Lanka Army's new Chief of Staff assumes duties

Major General Dinesh Udugama assumed duties as the 70th Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army today (05) at the Army Headquarters.

Senior army officers and others participated in the event held at the Chief of Staff's office, which commenced with religious observances.

A past pupil of St. Sylvester's College, Kandy, Major General Dinesh Udugama, who is from the Gajaba Regiment, served as the Deputy Chief of Staff prior to this appointment.
