Following his interview with porn star turned Bollywood actor Sunny Leone, CNN-IBN executive editor Bhupendra Chaubey is being googled thousand times by net savvy people, but for all the wrong reasons.
In the contrary, Leone’s video expressing gratitude for supporting her in cyber space, was viewed more than 200,000 times in the first hour after it was added on Facebook.
According to foreign channels, the interview which has been labeled misogynistic and regressive, saw Chaubey avoid questions on the Sunny Leone's latest film for which she had agreed to the interview, and completely dwelt on her pornographic past.
Chaubey asked Leone what her biggest regret was, a cue for the actress to apologize for her porn past.
Leone has answered that it was not reaching her mother in time before she died and Chaubey has repeated the question, a clear clue that her answer was not what he wanted to hear.
Chaubey’s prejudice was vivid when he said, "I am thinking am I being morally corrupted if I am interviewing you" which resembles his sexist perception- watching a Sunny Leone film could corrupt a person, to which Leone responded "I can leave if you want me to,"- a cool and polite reply.
Actor Rishi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vishal Dadlani and many others tweeted in favor of Leone.
