Shane Watson smashed an unbeaten 117 off just 57 balls to power Chennai Super Kings to an eight-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2018 final at the Wankhede Stadium last night (May 27).
This was Chennai Super King's 3rd IPL title, and Australian all-rounder Shane Watson who started his innings sluggishly with 10 dot balls, upped the tempo after the power-play.
Captain Kane Williamson 47 and Yusuf Pathan 45 not out helped Sunrisers Hyderabad post a competitive 178 for 6.
But it proved no match for Chennai Super King as the MS Dhoni-led team overhauled the target with 9 balls to spare.
